bring some cones for those who want to challenge themselves and their

getting kids to be a lot more comfortable on their horse and is a lot
of fun. I will be bringing some brooms, balls and cones. There are a
number of games that can be played building the skills to play a game.
This should a be a lot more fun then just riding around the arena which
I liken to skating around in circles at a roller rink as a kid. "Come

Friday/Saturday/Sunday, June 25/26/27 - I
just talked with Ian Barlow, NezPerce NF, the road to Whitewater Ranch
to access the Churchill Trail is not in good condition. The contractor
has been delayed due to all the wet weather. A new project has been
scheduled for the same days June 25-27 in the Gospel Hump Wilderness on
Trail #313, the Rag Station Trail. Ian Barlow will still be there to
train with some heavy rock moving. Work will be on the first two miles
of the trail unless Slate Creek is low enough to ford. This trail is
about a one hour drive from Grangeville, ID on Road #221. Drive to the
east end of main street and turn right on RD 221. This is a paved road
to the turn off to Moore's Station. The turn off is about one mile past
the road to Adams Camp on your right and is a gravel road. In about 2
miles you will come to the trailhead for Trail # 313. There is a
loading ramp and a hitchrail at the trailhead. If you can not make all
three days, come for what you can. Everyone is responsible for there
own meals. Please pass this on to any of your people that were planing
on attending as this is a short notice change. For more information,
call Ian Barlow at work 208-839-2135, or leave a message on his

Horse Camping Weekend- Saturday/SundayMonday July 3-4-5,
2010- North Fork of the Boise
, Deer Park area, East of Idaho
City Directions
Project leaders: Rob Adams projects@sbbchidaho.org 208 584-3780 Directions from website:
The cabin is located about 37 miles Northeast of Idaho City, Idaho.
From Idaho City, take Highway 21 for 18 miles to Crooked River-Little
Owl Road #384. Turn right and stay on Road #384 for 13.5 miles to North Fork Boise
River Road #327. Turn left on Road #327 and drive upstream for five
miles to Hunter
Creek Road #348. Go straight on Road #348 for one mile where you will
see a meadow in front and a lower standard road veering off to the
right. About 300 yards on this road is Deer Park Cabin. The unpaved
roads are graded
and are generally in good, yet rough, condition. They can be traveled
in good weather by two-wheel drive passenger cars or
trucks. We will be
camping about 3/4 of a mile before the intersection to the road that heads
south
to middle fork road. The Idaho City ranger indicates there are
some Hunting camps in this area on both
sides of the road
suitable for Horse camping.
Terry MacDonald has indicated he is going, so look for his rig, as it is very likely he will be the
first one there. Sign up if your coming as we need to know how
much hay and food for breakfast and Saturday and Sunday
dinners to bring! Lets have a good turnout!
