Squaw Butte Trail & Project Safety

Rides and project are open to active BCHI members.

A number of Public events are planned each year, Invite a friend.

Member and stock safety takes priority in everything the chapter does.

First aid kits and emergency contact devices will be carried on all projects & rides.

Carry a personal medical info form in your saddle bags.

Carry any special medications in your saddle bags.

Dogs are welcome in camp, but not on work projects & trail rides.

Stock must be under control at all times.

If your horse or mules kicks, ribbon on their tail.

A pre-event safety meeting will be held.

Members must have Sawyer training to use power saws on chapter projects.

Required safety gear will be worn when running saws.

No alcoholic beverage until after the work is done.

Be ready to ride in the trailer parking area north of the bathrooms - 10:30 to 16:00
Directions: This is a great ride between the cliffs and the river. Safe ground even if it has snow
on it, which is rare. This ride is for BCHI members and guests, so invite a friend.

Wilderness First Aid & CPR Refresher - Saturday April 3, 2021 (Educational Event)
Instructed by Air Saint Luke's Crewman & AHA Instructor Cheryl Bice (Treasure Valley BCH) &
Scott Morgan EMT-B Certification, BLS/CPR Instructor, and Advanced Cardiac Lifesaver.
A hands on refresher to get us ready for the upcoming season.
CPR & First Aid Cards available after successful completion of the course.
