USFS Developing Thinking Sawyers Workshop - Field Day

Details: USFS requires each workshop attendee who wants to receive or renew a Sawyer certification to demonstrate certain skills in the field.  The level of skills depends of the certification.  Field days are always held on Public lands and are coverered by USFS workman's compensation insurance.  Field days are a mentorship not a test.  The goal is to develop or improve safe sawyer skills.

Details: Snow is off the ground at this location and there are still plenty of down trees  to work on.  Bring plenty of water.  Dress in layer as we have no idea  what the weather will be like.  Wear appropriate footwear, gloves, eye and ear protection - PPE, Equipment and Saws will be provided if you don't have your own.
