It
is almost February; our snow is gone and we're into mud season.
Yuck. This too shall pass. Your board met and started
planning a years' worth of fun rides, work projects and educational
events, so check the calendar or watch for emails from Rob.
There's
a general meeting this Thursday, and the first ride of the season on
February 18. It is to Celebration Park, with a potluck
afterwards. This is always a nice ride; last year the main
entertainment was watching the jet boats navigate the rocks in the
river, and scratching our heads over the truck and horse trailer that
was almost to the end of the dirt road with no place to turn
around. The footing is generally good and the historic stone
"cabins" are fun to explore.
During snowmaggedon light, we had enough snow on Frozen Dog Rd to get out and ski behind the horses. It was pretty fun!
See ya'll on the trail!
